DEMI-BOB IS HERE TO STAY

Maybe it all goes back to the moment last year when an unknown model named Arizona Muse chopped her waist-length brown hair into a delightfully messy bob that was just near her chin. Muse-mania followed—as did spring campaigns with Prada and YSL—and before you could register the shift, the so-called demi-bob (AKA long-bob) was on the scene. Here are some examples:

From New York to Paris—Alexa Chung, Natalia Vodianova—have been spotted wearing the new hair length, which hits anywhere between mid-neck and shoulder-dusting. I must admit the hanging proportions look undeniably fresh—maybe that's why Brooklyn Decker and Olivia Palermo also joined the club and cut their long hair into a version of the style.
